Live Classes

General Terms and Conditions:

Eligibility criteria: 

Users of the Akbar Academy (Often referred to as the company) education services must be at least 14 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian. Certain courses or levels may have additional eligibility criteria that will be clearly outlined on the website.

Intellectual property rights:

All course materials, including text, images, videos, or other materials, are the property of the Akbar Academy and are protected by copyright laws. Users may use the materials for personal or non-commercial purposes only and may not reproduce, distribute, or display the materials without the prior written consent of Akbar Academy.

Governing law and jurisdiction:

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the The United Kingdom Arbitration Association.

User accounts and security:

Users must create a user account to access the online physics education services. Users will be required to provide certain personal information and choose a password to protect their account. Akbar Academy will take reasonable measures to protect the security of users’ personal information and login details.

Disclaimer of responsibility:

Akbar Academy is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the course materials, nor for any damages resulting from the use of the service. Users assume all responsibility for their use of the service and any reliance on the course materials.

Termination of agreement:

This agreement may be terminated by either party for any reason with notice to the other party. Akbar Academy reserves the right to terminate the agreement and the user’s access to the service immediately and without notice in the event of any breach of this agreement.

Modification of terms:

Akbar Academy reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Users will be notified of any changes through the website or by email. Continued use of the service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the modified terms and conditions.

Payments and Fees:

  • All payments made in advance from 2023-2024 Academic year onwards.
  • All accounts must be in credit (e.g., a minimum of -1 class or resources will be cut).
  • Exceptions – First two weeks, from the first lesson a student attends.
  • End-of-year exams provided the student has been with us for at least 5 lessons prior to the examination period.
  • From 2025 onwards, a credit will be utilized whether or not a student is present or absent from a class. (As part of the premium service offered, a recording of the class will be made available to those who miss a class.

Pricing structure:

The pricing structure for the courses or services offered by Akbar Academy will be clearly outlined on the website. The fees for individual courses or subscriptions may be subject to change at any time, but users will be notified of any changes in advance.
Payment options: Akbar Academy accepts payment through credit cards, PayPal, or other online payment systems. Users are responsible for any fees or charges associated with their chosen payment option.

Recurring charges:

If users sign up for a subscription-based service, they will be charged recurring fees according to the frequency and amount specified on the website. Users may cancel their subscription at any time, but refunds may not be available for unused portions of the subscription.

Refund policy:

All payments made to Akbar Academy are non-refundable. We firmly believe in the quality of our educational offerings and maintain a strict no-refund policy. We stand by the value of our courses and services to our students. In the event of dissatisfaction with a course or service, refunds will not be granted. This policy applies without exception.

Taxes:

Users are responsible for any taxes or fees that may be applicable to the courses or services offered by Akbar Academy, including sales tax or value-added tax (VAT).

Payment processing:

Akbar Academy uses secure payment processing services to protect users’ payment information. Users are responsible for ensuring the security of their payment information.

Non-payment:

Failure to pay for courses or services may result in suspension or termination of access to the service.

Course Overview & Materials:

  • IGCSE/GCSE:
    • Half Course (e.g., Year 10):
      • 1 lesson per week for 30 weeks, excluding any revision lessons.
      • 1 x 2-hour minute lesson per week, depending on the syllabus being taken.
    • Full Course (e.g., Year 11):
      • 2 lessons per week for 30 weeks, excluding any revision lessons.
  • AS/A2 (e.g., Year 12 and 13):
    • 2 lessons per week for 30 weeks, excluding any revision lessons.
    • 2 x 2-hour lessons per week.

NOTE: The AS is a combined course; this means questions will be tackled for all syllabuses from Oxford International AQA, Edexcel, and Cambridge (CAIE) as syllabus content is almost identical. Where it is not identical, students will be taught relevant aspects separately.

Materials Provided:

The Company will provide users with access to course materials which may include text, images, videos, or other materials.
Restrictions on Use: Users may use the course materials provided by Akbar Academy only for personal or non-commercial use. Users may not share or distribute the course materials to third parties.

Copyright and Ownership:

The course materials provided by the Company are protected by copyright and are owned by the Company or its licensors. Users may not modify, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products, or services obtained from the course materials without the express written consent of the Company.

Accuracy and Completeness:

The Company makes no guarantees or warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of the course materials. The Company will not be liable for any errors or omissions in the course materials, or for any loss or damage of any kind arising from the use of the course materials.

Modifications and Updates:

The Company may modify or update the course materials at any time without notice. Users will be notified of any changes to the course materials through the Company’s website. Users may be required to pay an additional fee for updated materials.

User-generated Content:

Users may create or contribute to course materials provided by the Company. Any user-generated content will be owned by the Company and may be used by the Company for any purpose, including commercial purposes.
By accessing and using the course materials provided by the Company, you acknowledge that you have read this Agreement, understand it, and agree to be bound by its terms and conditions. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you may not access or use the course materials provided by the Company.

User Conduct

Welcome to our online educational courses! In order to ensure a positive experience for all users, we expect our users to behave in a responsible and respectful manner while using our service. By accessing or using our service, you agree to the following rules and expectations regarding user conduct:

The company strives to ensure that all course materials provided through the service are accurate and up-to-date. However, the company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any materials provided through the service. The company shall not be responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the course materials.

Use of the Service: 

The company does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. The company shall not be responsible for any damages arising from the use of the service, including any technical issues, interruptions, or errors that may occur. Users of the service agree to use it at their own risk.

  • Breach of the agreement in any way.

Effect of termination:

Upon termination of the agreement, user accounts and access to the service will be terminated immediately. No fees paid will be refunded, and users will not be allowed to access any course materials after termination. Any data or information relating to the user will be deleted, except where required by law or as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Termination by user:

Users may terminate the agreement by contacting the company through the service and following the specified procedures. Any outstanding fees owed to the company must be paid in full before termination.
